The Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 are underway. LVMH is present through several activations, support for 7 athletes - Antoine Dupont, Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos, Enzo Lefort and Léon Marchand for the Olympics and Timothée Adolphe, Pauline Déroulède and Marie Patouillet for the Paralympics, a presence at Club France and Champions Park and at numerous hospitality venues.

26 July:

Opening Ceremony 

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 got off to a majestic start as the City of Light dazzled during a breathtaking Opening Ceremony. The boldly innovative ceremony was conceived by Thierry Reboul, Creative Director of Paris 2024 and Thomas Jolly, Artistic Director for the show, who transformed the Seine into a vast flowing playground to share this universal celebration of sports with huge numbers of spectators and viewers.   

As a Premium Partner of Paris 2024, LVMH drew on the Group’s creative excellence and the savoir-faire of its Maisons to make this milestone in the history of sports a memorable moment for millions of spectators across the globe.   

To bring this exceptional contribution to life, LVMH called on the remarkable talent of its artisans and teams, who worked hand in hand with Paris 2024, applying their passion and creativity to once again make LVMH the Artisan of All Victories.

27 July:

Maison LVMH – Talk Dan Carter & Philippe Saint-André

For this first talk, LVMH welcomed Dan Carter, two-time world rugby champion, and Philippe Saint-André, winner of the 5 Nations tournament and French champion rugby coach, who talked about their respective careers and the particularities of 7-a-side rugby, an Olympic sport for these Olympic Games Paris 2024. The performances of the French team and our athlete-ambassador Antoine Dupont in the opening matches were analysed, ahead of this afternoon's semi-final against South Africa. 

Antoine Dupont – Rugby Sevens finale 

Olympic champion! The French team won the silver medal in the Rugby 7s final against Fiji, giving Antoine Dupont his first Olympic medal! Final score : 26-7 

28 July:

Maison LVMH – Talk Hugues Duboscq

For this second talk, the Maison LVMH welcomed Hugues Duboscq, vice world champion swimmer, who ended his career in 2012 in London. He talked about his career and the specificities of different swimming styles. Hugues also spoke about the medal chances of our athlete Léon Marchand, who entered the competition this morning.

Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos – Artistic gymnastics 

Mélanie de Jesus Dos Santos and the French artistic gymnastics team lost out in the qualifying round of the all-round competition. That's the end of the competition for our athlete. 

Léon Marchand - Swimming  

On his first day of competition, Léon Marchand qualified for the 400m freestyle final at 8.30pm on Sunday. 

Gold medal and exceptional Olympic record of 4.2min for Leon Marchand, who won his first Olympic title in the 400m 4-swim.

29 July:

Maison LVMH – Talk Fabrice Jeannet

The 3rd talk at Maison LVMH hosted fencer and Olympic medallist Fabrice Jeannet.

During this discussion, Fabrice Jeannet explains the pressure of the competition and talks about the medal chances of our athlete-ambassador, Enzo Lefort.

Maison LVMH – Antoine Dupont 

Our recent gold medallist at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 paid us a visit at Maison LVMH.   

Enzo Lefort – Fencing 

Our fencer Enzo Lefort enters the competition today! Despite a very fine performance, French fencer Enzo Lefort lost out in the quarter-finals of the individual foil event. See you in a few days' time for the team event.

30 July:

Maison LVMH – Talk Axel Clerget & Cyril Moré 

For this 4th talk, the spotlight is on judoka Axel Clerget and wheelchair fencer and para ski champion Cyril Moré.   

During this discussion, Axel Clerget and Cyril Moré talked about the importance of the « call room », a space of extreme concentration, training and sometimes destabilization for athletes facing their opponents, just before entering the competition. 

Maison LVMH – Marie Patouillet 

In the midst of her preparations for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, our para-cyclist athlete Marie Patouillet took the time to come to Maison LVMH, where she visited our showcasing space and the productions of our Maisons. 

Léon Marchand – Swimming 

Léon Marchand, who is aiming for the double in the 200m breaststroke and 200m butterfly, has succeeded in the first part of his mission, qualifying with flying colours for tomorrow's two finals. Well done Léon! 

31st July:

Maison LVMH - Talk Malia Metella

The 5th Maison LVMH Talk welcomed swimmer and Olympic medallist Malia Metella. During the discussion, she spoke about the importance of her role model, Marie-José Pérec, and the role of older generations in inspiring and motivating the younger generations of French swimmers.

Léon Marchand – Swimming 

Time for the 200m butterfly and 200m breaststroke finals for Léon Marchand! 

Gold medal for Léon Marchand in the 200m butterfly and Olympic record time of 1'51"21 ahead of Hungary's Kristof Milak and Ilya Kharun from Canada. 

A few hours after his first title, our athlete achieved his historic feat: he won the 2nd Olympic gold medal of the evening in the 200m breaststroke in 2'05"85. An Olympic record! 

August 1st:

Maison LVMH – Talk Benoit Caranobe 

The 6th LVMH Talk welcomed former gymnast Benoît Caranobe.  

During this discussion, he spoke about the mental health of young athletes and the consequences of overexposure on social media. 

Léon Marchand – Swimming 

The day after winning two Olympic titles on the same night - a historic performance - Léon Marchand qualified for tomorrow evening's 200m medley final by finishing 1st of his semi-final.  

August 2:

Maison LVMH – Talk Thierry Reboul

LVMH today welcomed Thierry Reboul, Director of Ceremonies for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

He spoke about the extraordinary moment that was the Opening Ceremony and the complexity of managing such an event: special weather conditions, multiple stages, etc. Thierry also talked about the three forthcoming ceremonies and the common thread that binds them together: that of a united France and attention to the things that surround us.

Léon Marchand – Swimming 

A dream becomes a triumph.  

Four-time Olympic champion! Léon Marchand claimed his fourth title of these Olympic Games Paris 2024 by winning the final of the 200m individual medley. He now has a total of four Olympic gold medals, ahead of the relay races scheduled for this weekend.

August 3:

Maison LVMH – Talk Jean Galfione 

To celebrate the beginning of the pole vault event, Olympic champion in 1996, Jean Galfione came to Maison LVMH to talk about his sport. 

Léon Marchand – Swimming 

After four individual gold medals, all of them Olympic records, it was time for the relays for Léon Marchand and the French team.  

1st race: the mixed 4 x 100m medley. Léon Marchand and Team France end up in 4th place. 

August 4:

Maison LVMH – Talk Christine Arron 

Christine Arron, world champion in the 4x100m relay in 2003 and holder of the European 100m record in 10’73”, shared her experience of the 100m and the specificities of the distance.  

Léon Marchand – Swimming 

Qualified with the French men's team for the 4x100m medley relay, Léon Marchand and his three teammates won the bronze medal, after a race won by the Chinese team.  

5 Olympic medals for Léon Marchand at these Olympic Games Paris 2024. Well done! 

Enzo Lefort – Fencing

The French foil team and Enzo Lefort lost 45-37 in the semi-final against Japan. 

In the bronze medal match, Enzo and his teammates came out on top against the USA. Well done Enzo, and well done to the whole French team. 

August 5:

Maison LVMH – Talk Muriel Hurtis

Welcome to Muriel Hurtis, 2003 world champion in the 4x100m relay, at Maison LVMH! The French sprinter looked back on her career and spoke about the medal prospects of the new generation of athletes from the French relay team.

Club France – Enzo Lefort 

Enzo Lefort and his teammates from Team France celebrated their bronze medal of Paris 2024 at Club France.

Club France - Léon Marchand 

Team France leaves the Olympic Games Paris 2024 with 7 medals, including 4 golds won by Léon Marchand. The whole team came to Club France to celebrate these excellent performances.   

August 6:

Maison LVMH – Talk Julia Chanourdie

A multiple medallist in the various French climbing championships, Julia Chanourdie explained to guests of the Maison LVMH the specificities of the different climbing disciplines and shared her enthusiasm for the development of the sport in France.

Champions Park - Léon Marchand & Enzo Lefort

After celebrating at Club France last night, Léon Marchand and Enzo Lefort headed to the Champions Park, the temple of performance and place where athletes from all over the world celebrate. Our five-time Olympic medalist in swimming and bronze medalist in fencing paraded past the public accompanied by more than 80 medal-winning athletes from the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

August 7:

Maison LVMH – Talk Laure Manaudou 

Relive the talk with Laure Manaudou at the Maison LVMH. 

The Olympic Champion from Athens in 2004, and holder of 81 national and international titles, shared her experience of high-level swimming, looking back on the rigorous physical and mental preparation that enabled her to shine at the highest level in the world. 

Laure also shared her pride in seeing French swimmers perform at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, in particular Léon Marchand and her brother Florent Manaudou.

Welcome home champion! 

Our five-time Olympic medalist at Paris 2024, Léon Marchand is at Maison LVMH to celebrate his victories and discover the contributions of our Maisons to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. 

Maison LVMH – Secours Populaire 

The children helped by French NGO Secours Populaire enjoyed a morning at Maison LVMH, where they discovered the showcasing area and the various contributions of our Maisons to the Games Paris 2024 

They then took part in a workshop on leather goods expertise with Louis Vuitton artisans, who introduced the children to the Group's Métiers d’Excellence and those of its Maisons, before heading to the Aquatic Centre to watch the diving competition.

08 August:

Maison LVMH - Talk Madeleine Malonga  

World champion judoka and runner-up at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, Madeleine Malonga, was at Maison LVMH to talk about the challenges she has faced throughout her career. She recalled the collective triumph at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, where France won the gold medal. She also spoke about her career in high-level sport and highlighted the importance of defeats in building a sporting career.

Enzo Lefort, LVMH and Louis Vuitton athlete and recent team bronze medallist in fencing (foil) at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, took advantage of his visit to the Maison LVMH to tour the showcasing areas.

09 August:

Maison LVMH – Talk Tony Parker  

Tony Parker was present at LVMH. Iconic figure of basketball, Tony shared his impressions of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, as well as giving his prediction for the upcoming basketball final between France and the United States on Saturday 10 August 2024. 

For Tony, this final is not just another game in the history of basketball: it reflects a rich sporting legacy built up over the years. 

11 August: 

Closing Ceremony  

LVMH and its Maisons are proud to have contributed to the incredible success of the Olympic Games and the Closing Ceremony of Paris 2024. Several of the Group's Maisons, CELINE, Dior and Louis Vuitton, contributed to the celebration of French heritage and culture at this Closing Ceremony by dressing several of the artists present. Our athletes Antoine Dupont and Léon Marchand also played a leading role. Antoine Dupont as Flag Bearer for Team France and Léon Marchand, dressed in Louis Vuitton, carrying the lantern containing the Olympic Flame.
